PSHE is a very broad subject that covers everything schools do to promote pupils’ good health and well-being. Whereas many aspects of the programme are covered in other academic subjects, such as PE, Literature, Religious Education, Drama and Science, Ludgrove also runs a formal programme of study to ensure that certain key issues are addressed during the school year. The programme is co-ordinated by our Head of Religious Studies, in co-operation with the school nurse and the division masters and mistresses. Pupils learn about socially and morally responsible behaviour through classroom activities , division lessons and school assemblies. Discussion often follows issues raised by the pupils and visiting speakers also contribute to the programme.
