It was a great weekend with lots of matches on Saturday and an internal U9 football tournament for all the new Sixes. The boys then had a relaxing evening watching some films whilst the Sixes had hot chocolate with the Pinchin-Hughes.
On Sunday we were lucky to have Stephen Rathbone, Director of Studies at Radley College preaching in chapel. He spoke about Irena Sendler; the inspirational Polish lady who helped thousands of Jewish children in the 2nd World War.
Our U10As spent the day at Charterhouse playing in a football tournament and the rest of the school enjoyed swimming, five-a-side football on the astro, the monkey house, camps and golf. Others were busy in the DT department and many more had a go at Total Wipeout on the top lawn. Meanwhile, the Sixes were taken on a walk across the fields and enjoyed a game of 40:40 in the woods.
Finally our older new boys enjoyed a special tea and a chance to reflect and share stories about their new experiences at Ludgrove. The weekend finished with Sixes stories and a quiet evening for all.
