This weekend the top year put on their annual DS musical, and what a show it was. Following on from last year's The Lion King, the boys were aware that the bar had been set high and they would need to work hard.
On Monday, the IVss were transported to the Living Rainforest in Newbury. Unlike the freezing cold temperatures outside, the inside was hot and humid so their jumpers were quickly taken off before they made their way into the glasshouses.
It was a busy weekend at school with a fun-packed itinerary of Sets Football on Saturday and an adventurous Sunday with hands-on handling experiences of some scaly friends, both big and small.
On Tuesday afternoon, a small group of extra potters was fortunate to be able to visit Andrew Hazelden at the Yarnton pottery. Andrew makes thrown pots from a custom mix of red clay, which he glazes in tin white before adding decoration inspired by ancient Persia.
The poetry recitations competition continues to be one of the highlights of the school calendar and the calibre of the boys’ entries this year, certainly did not disappoint.
Lugrovian Old Boys and staff met on Sunday 3rd November to pit their football skills against each other in the annual Wiggin Cup match, refereed by Mr Barber.
