Mr Barber was pleased to tell guests that their school was in “good nick”. He went on to tell the assembled guests: "One of the stand-out statements from last year's ISI inspection is that the boys are not just physically healthy, they radiate cheerfulness and care for each other which sums up the Ludgrove spirit."

He continued: "They [the boys] are second to none... as are our Old Boys!", before raising a glass to OLs past, present and future.

What a testament to their time at Ludgrove that OLs get such enjoyment from meeting each year, swapping stories and making new connections. As Mr Barber always says: "Once a Ludgrovian, always a Ludgrovian."
